  1. Great stuff Mike, sounds like a very busy trip. It’s really interesting hearing about everyday life there whilst keeping updated on your project. I’d love to know a bit more about the type of wood you’re turning with.


    1. Thank you Amy, Lillian is in contact with a university student who can hopefully offer local names to botanical names. Today I plan to photograph a freshly turned leg and something that was turned a while back . Fresh wood appears to have no figure but when it’s dry it has an obvious figure. I’m planning to bring an item or two home with me.
